ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) is non-profit community organization dedicated to the social betterment of local communities. ACORN, is sponsoring an event on Saturday January 26th. 2008. This is a completely free event and is intended for every home owner and buyer within the community. If you are facing a possible mortgage rate adjustment which means that you are currently in a 6% interest rate range but will adjust to a 8% resulting in an increase in your monthly payments. If you are battling a high cost loan you will definitely want to attend this event. This will be a home foreclosure prevention seminar where you can get help from a non-profit real estate housing counselor, learn about refinancing opportunities and first time buyer programs from participating Lenders. These Lenders are from Option One, HSBC Bank, Select Portfolio Servicing, Citi, EMC, Countrywide Mortgage, and Washington Mutual.
